HAZARDOUS DUST HEALTH MONITORING

If your team are working in proximity to asbestos or crystalline silica dust, we provide on site health monitoring as per requirements of Safe Work Australia: Health Monitoring Codes of Practice (Respirable Crystalline Silica & Asbestos). Our screening process is overseen and evaluated by a doctor, it involves your workers to complete health and respiratory questionnaires and onsite spirometry (as per AS: 2989:1988). Chest X-Rays are only required if a worker is commencing/finalising employment, or, at intervals based on their level of exposure to the hazardous dust.

The onsite spirometry component of the screening typically takes 15 mins to conduct per worker, electronic health questionnaires are prefilled by your workers prior to the onsite visit. The doctor then evaluates this information for recommendation. To ensure ILO chest X-Ray Standards, when required, we refer your workers to Lumus Imaging, as they have many convenient locations.
